about this album: this is an album i wrote for/about people in my immmediate family (including brothers, dog, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents). it was recorded in december 2006 with the intention of it being given to those in my family as christmas gifts. i made some extra copies, but there aren't very many of them, so if you want one, act fast!

About this album: I wanted to record an entire album without the use of drums, bass or guitar. so i did. on this album, you'll hear mandolin, banjo, vocals, piano, harmonica, accordion, psaltery, and percussion (tambourine, bucket, and wooden box). this album also includes "a way to move across the ground (a.k.a. the song about shoes/the shoe song). i will be making a very limited run of this album (the current plan is 100, but i may expand that to 300, depending on demand). currently available only on cd-r.

Note: The Gnomophobes are a band which Jon and Johnny played in from 2002-2003 that is on indefinite hiatus. Perhaps there will be a reunion one day. We'll see what happens. Recordings are currently out of print, but you can find mp3s if you look around.
